Trombone Shorty Albany Concert reviews
ZZ Top always on top
I highly recommend you see Trombone Shorty in concert before they stop touring someday. They have a seating capacity of 3500 and that was perfect for a 'Get Down" Trombone Shorty event. The Township was built in 1930 and was unknowingly built for just this type of event. Like I told my son "Everyone needs to see Trombone Shorty in concert at least once". The acoustics are amazing due to the curved ceiling and 'U' shaped layout. I had been wanting to take my 26 year old son to a Trombone Shorty concert for the past 15 years but they were never playing anywhere close enough for us to attend. I've seen Trombone Shorty in concert four times and they NEVER disappoint. The Township was added to National Register of Historic Places in 2005. Everyone from Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, James Brown, Otis Redding, Duke Ellington and Loretta Lynn have played at The Township. I was quite surprised to find that they would be playing at Columbia SC's Township Auditorium. For a little old band from Texas with three 67 year old rockers, they can still hold their own with the best. Billy Gibbons even mentioned what a great venue it is.
